About the Event
AAUW - RSP has an excellent opportunity to raise funds by manning a polling place for the June 2nd primary. Placer County will pay us $5,000 if we provide all the volunteers needed, but we need to give the County a list of our volunteers soon!
Time is short to guarantee Placer County that we will provide volunteers to manage the polling place. If you are interested, contact Carolyn Garfein at cgarfein@aol.com.
We must manage the polling place for four days, Saturday, May 30th through Tuesday, June 2nd. Volunteer requirements include a fingerprint scan (if not done within the prior two years), and attendance at a one-day class run by the County.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow Branch members and do good. Our goal is at least 15 volunteers, so that we can divide the work hours into half day (4 to 5 hours) shifts. We need…
