Branch AAUW Project

Women's Scholarship Recipients


Brittany Blair is a talented young woman who wants to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. We were all impressed with how articulate she is, how she maintains a very high GPA, and how she wants to serve and help society in her career.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pamela Gill is a mother of four children who has gone through some hardships in the last few years. In spite of this she has managed to keep a very high GPA and has discovered she has a real ability in computer science. She helps students at Sierra College and has extremely good recommendations to pursue a career in computer science.

 

 

Our Branch offers scholarships to women who are returning to college at Sierra College and meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be enrolled in 12 units at the time of application
  2. Must be enrolled in 12 units at the time they receive the scholarship
  3. Must have a 3.0 GPA or better
  4. Must have completed 24 units at time they receive scholarship
  5. Must be a resident of Placer County, prefer South Placer County
  6. Must be re-entry women with financial need
  7. Must complete Budget Form
  8. We will interview and select the winner(s)

Sierra College scholarship applications for the 2011-2012 academic year are available December 2010. Deadline to apply for most of the scholarships offered is February 2011.
