About the Roseville-South Placer Branch
The Roseville-South Placer Branch was founded forty years ago. There are now over 230 members from nine South Placer communities, including Antelope, Fair Oaks, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Newcastle, Orangevale, Rocklin and Roseville. Several neighborhood groups meet regularly and carpooling to meetings is encouraged. The branch offers opportunities to work toward common goals while creating a network of friends:
- Intellectual growth and fellowship through monthly Events and Interest Groups.
- Financial aid to support education of women and girls and to promote equity in the workplace through Outreach efforts.
- Community action on Public Policy issues through branch discussions and individual action on AAUW web sites.
- Special Projects including California AAUW's Speech Trek and Tech Trek and our own Branch Project offering Scholarships to women who are returning to college at Sierra College.
Branch Events are held once a month. Guests are welcome at the General Branch Meetings. Click here for next meeting.
If you hold an associate's or equivalent, bachelor's, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you can join AAUW either as an individual (member-at-large) or as a member of one of AAUW's 1,000 branches. Branch members also belong to the national organization. Those enrolled in a degree program may become student affiliates.
